Easter Egg Hunt

I love traditions. They make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I'm so glad that our friends have an Easter Egg hunt for our kids each year (we also do a present exchange and donuts at Christmas). I love that we can look back on the pictures years from now and remember when our kids were little and the things we all did together. I hope and pray our kids are as good of friends as their parents are one day:) Arranged friendships are totally a thing, right??

The weather could not have been better on Saturday. One year it was blazing hot, and last year it was a little cool. It was perfect this year. We all had so much fun!

I promise Meyers is NOT choking Emery!

It was so fun that Emery got to participate this year. She was just a baby last year.

We have a little kid hunt in the front yard, and a big kid hunt in the backyard.

Meyers normally hunts in the front yard, so she was a little confused why she couldn't hunt with Emery:)

It didn't take Emery long to figure things out:)

Build-A-Bear

Meyers got a gift card to Build-A-Bear (thanks, cousins!) For her birthday. Last April. And we are just now using it.

John took off work today so we could have a fun family day, and I thought we should take the girls to Build-A-Bear for the first time ever! Bad parents, I know:)



She picked out a pink, princess bear with a tiara and all the Disney princesses on the paw, and we picked out a different pink bear for Emery.





Can you see she looks a little nervous over that machine??


Emery was just taking it all in.

She finally got over it when it was time to stuff Emery's bear.

Cuddling with her princess bear (with a Cinderella outfit) on the way to eat:) Oh, and Princess Bear is not just what it is, that's what she named it.

After Build-A-Bear, we walked around the mall. It was SO nice outside!! And John and I did a little shopping - that's always fun! We ate lunch at Moe's, and I found something to eat there on MyFitnessPal that is good and low in calories! Yay! We shopped a little more and then came home for naps and rest time.

Definite a fun family day!

She had JUST started walking at the end of January!! Knowing her personality now, it totally makes sense. She is on her own time frame and will do something when she feels comfortable:)

Emery's One Year Pictures

I just got Emery's one year pictures back today. We actually had them taken in February; we were trying to wait on a somewhat warmish day. Our wonderful photographer checked the weather and we planned it last minute. We almost canceled because there was NO sun that day. It was supposed to be sunny. It was tempting to cancel because John was not able to come with me, and pictures are hard enough with both of us there to manage the girls and act crazy for smiles. I'm so glad we didn't cancel because I love the way they turned out!
