December

We had a fun and busy December!!

Our elf, Max Jake, made his first appearance December 1st.

We went to Hill Ridge to see the lights.

Seeing Santa!

Max Jake sure is silly!

We love wearing Christmas jammies every night!

And we love our Christmas sheets, too!

Wise words from Max Jake:)

Emery waited all year to get the class pet, Socks. We made him a special bed to sleep in.

The girls left MJ a picture and he left them one, too.

And he made a giant mess at their table!

MJ was trying to help us get closer to Christmas.....

The first grade put on "A Very Beary Musical". Meyers was a rapping grizzly bear:)

John was out of town for 7 days the middle of the month, so we had lots of girl time and slumber parties.

Painting Christmas ornaments at a pottery place.

We had a few returns to make at the mall. They were taking donations of new children's clothing.  We made our returns and grabbed an outfit and dropped it back off. The sweet girl there asked me if she could take our picture and texted it to me. I'm so glad she did - it's rare I have pictures of me and my girls that's not a crazy looking selfie:)

MJ hanging on tight!

MJ sure likes to get into my chalk pens:)

Lots of room mom stuff the last week of school!

what a mess?!

parent observation week at dance - E is in the green skirt

M is in the red bow

MJ loves our games!

John and the girls have decorated our candy cottage (plastic gingerbread house) for the last 4 years. It's totally their thing and I just take pictures:)

pretty fancy!

making gingerbread cookies

So fun, MJ!

Emery brought this card home from school and I melted. Her "B" in because looks a little funny because it was a "V". She still says "vecause" instead of "because" and I will be so sad when she stops:)

We went to a fun birthday party and Santa showed up!!!!!!

Santa 2016

First successful Santa visit since Meyers was 3 and Emery was 11 months!!!! I love a crying Santa picture, but after that year (2012 - which I can't get on here because it's trapped on our old computer), I just couldn't make my kids see Santa and traumatize them. Meyers has been very leary of Santa even up until last year. But this year, she actually told me she wanted to see Santa. Hallelujah! We put on our Christmas dresses and ran by the mall on our way to church one night (we go to Saturday night church). It was short, sweet and successful!

Fall Family Pictures

We did a fall mini session last month to get some Christmas card pictures. Our photographer is fantastic and gets the best smiles and giggles out of the girls. We usually just do pictures once a year now, and we just did pictures in the spring, but I'm so glad we did them again. I wouldn't take anything for their sweet smiles captured like this!
