Visit with the Kelly Family

We usually try to make it down to Atlanta during the summer time. The last few years, it's always been around May. I knew we would go once this summer, so I got the bright idea to see if Jessica wanted to host a Shrimp and Grits trunk show. She always buys from me, but never even sees the clothes until they are mailed to her. Eight hours (with kids) is a long way to drive for trunk show, but that's not the reason we were going....just a bonus reason. So we made the trip down on Friday morning, and it was a long trip. We got stuck in traffic and the girls were over it. We stopped at Lowe's to let the girls run off some energy. I usually make them stay in the cart when we go to Lowe's in town, but we let them run around and they thought it was so fun.

The trunk show was Saturday morning, so the dads were on duty while Jessica and I set up. The show went well. She was worried that it wouldn't do well and she did great. She got to see the clothes in person AND she earned credit! As soon as the last person left, we changed, met the babysitters (we had two come - one for her girls and one for mine), and headed to the Braves' game. Bert had gotten box seats through his work, and it was a-mazing. We had so much fun!

The sitters sent us this picture of Elizabeth and Meyers, so Jessica and I took a picture like it.
After the Braves' game, we put the dads back on duty, and Jessica and I headed out for some girl time and mexican food. The last time we had time just the two of us was at least two years ago, so we decided that was needed:)

On Sunday, we met my Aunt Sandy and cousin, Heather at the Varsity. We usually get our Varsity fix in with them. For the first time in my life, I did not want a chili dog. It just sounded gross and that's never the case. I had a salad, and it was so weird to eat a salad at the Varsity:)

We stopped at Publix on the way home. Why don't we have Publix around here? They are so nice!
the girls loved driving the cart

We met the Kellys back at home after they got home from church and the girls played. We joke that Elizabeth and Emery are a lot alike and Meyers and Caroline are a lot alike.

After naptime and rest time, we went to the pool. Fearless Emery wanted nothing to do with a float, and Meyers was content to have teatime on the steps:)

We had a great time, like always, visiting our friends!
