Destin 2014

We went to the beach with the Tillmans the first full week of May. They were super sweet to invite us to go with them again. We had so much fun last year, so I was excited to go again. John and I had just gotten back from Aruba on Sunday and we left 6 days later to head to Destin. Not the best timing, but you can't say no to a free condo! It was nice to get away just us, and then get away with the girls, too. We are very compatible when it comes to traveling with the Tillmans. We all LOVE to sit on the beach all day until it's time to get showered and dressed to go out to dinner. And that's what we did all week except John and I took turns on staying in with the girls every other day while they napped. Both girls loved playing in the sand and in the "pools" we would make them, Emery loved the water and had no fear, Meyers was content to stay out of the water, both loved the hot tub since the pool water was a little chilly, and both loved waking up and having their friends there to play with all day. We all had so much fun, ate so much good food (thanks to David Urban Spooning it), had lots of dance parties, and laughed a whole lot! Awesome vacation!

I think I took maybe 10 pictures on my phone last year and that's it. I made up for it this year and actually got my real camera out for some beach pictures.

Emery was traumatized for the first 15 minutes out every day. It's like she would forget how the sand felt and have to acclimate all over again.

I love beach pictures, but don't love having to get cleaned up again after you're already clean, but I'm so glad we had our picnic and got a few beach pictures of the girls.

On our way home, a light on my dash started coming on and it started making a crazy noise as we were getting off on an exit to use the restroom. We look over and there is a Honda dealership right there. Craziness! It was the nicest dealership I've ever seen complete with a kids' room, apple computers to use, and a Starbucks. I just knew we were going to be stuck there since it was a Saturday. They had us in and out in 2 hours with some new spark plugs.

It put us two hours behind, but it could have been much worse. There girls were troopers and napped on the way home, too.

We enjoyed our time at the beach so much!! Meyers has asked just about every day since when we are going back:)
