Fun Weekend

I'm hoping to play catch up on here - December, Christmas, Memphis trip, Emery's 3rd birthday soon. I hate that I've been too busy to document our life. The daily stuff that I'll want to look back on and remember, too. Because goodness knows I can't remember anything unless I've blogged about it:) But I'll start with this weekend and catch up later!

Meyers was all stopped up and had a runny nose and eyes on Friday, so she stayed home from school.


Emery had her 3 year old check up that morning so we all went. Emery weighs 36.4 lbs and is in the 98th% for weight and she is 36 3/4 inches tall and is right under the 50th% for height.



Meyers had an Opthamoligist check up after that so we grabbed lunch in the car and headed there. It was a long day of appointments! I was over the day by dinner time so we met the Ainsworths for dinner.


On Saturday, we ran to target, grabbed lunch at our favorite PDQ and came home for naps and rest time. We've learned that the only way to get good bbq around here is to go pick up some pulled pork and eat it at home with our (brought from Memphis) Rendevous and Commissary sauce. We had some southern friends (the Hand family) over for dinner Saturday night that do not care for NC bbq either. Our girls ran around like crazy and we had yummy bbq. Paige brought the best corn dish I've ever had - jalepeno corn - SO good!

On Sunday afternoon, we napped/rested and then went on a walk near our house. The girls loved "being in nature" and seeing the waterfalls. That was the first time we've walked that green line and played at our park. Looking forward to more warm days so we can do that again.
