I LOVE how excited my girls get when we have visitors - especially ones that spend the night. It also warms my heart that even though we'll probably never live in the same state, mine and Jessica's girls will know and love each other.
My girls still went to school while they were here, but it's only half day so we still did some fun things. Wednesday afternoon, we walked to our neighborhood park that is closest to us.
On Thursday, we picked them up from school and went to lunch. We put all carseats in my car. My girls thought that was super fun. After lunch, we explored our little downtown. It totally reminds me of Stars Hollow on Gilmore Girls. It's cute and quirky at the same time. It's fun to take visitors there to explore.
On Friday, Meyers went to school and Jessica and I took Emery, Elizabeth and Caroline (or as Emery calls her "Carolina") on a walk.
We picked Meyers up and headed to lunch to meet a former student of Jessica's that goes to NC State. She was so sweet and even hooked me up with a babysitter for another night because she was busy. After lunch we went to Pullen Park. We haven't been since we moved here. It's such a fun place to take kids.
We played at the playground, rode the carousel, the trains and the girls rode on the mini boats. We met John at home and headed to Cowfish for dinner. There was an over an hour wait and the girls were beat from a busy day, but they did great while we waited.
We attempted to let the girls all sleep in the playroom each night, but that didn't work until the last night. They stayed up super late watching the Little Mermaid and eating popcorn and then crashed!
We love having visitors and had such a fun time with the Kellys! Only bad thing was that the visit was too short:)
