July 4th Week

Geez Louise! I can't believe it's been a full year since I've blogged! Maybe one of these days I can catch up. That's what overwhelms me, but Jessica encouraged me to just start again so here we are with the week of July 4th. 

We went to Memphis for the week. It was a full week of family and friends and all of our favorite Memphis food - Huey's, Memphis Pizza Cafe, Las Delicias, Newk's (we didn't realize how much we loved Newk's until we moved!) and bbq!

I think we had Newk's three times while we were home!

On the 4th, we all went swimming at the McGill's and then went to watch the fireworks. 

I squeezed in a girls' night with Brooke, Jamie and Lauren. 

The girls were able to see the Rains' girls and play for a while one day. 

We were so excited to be in town when my nephew, Brayden, got baptized. We grabbed lunch at Newk's one more time with the family before getting on the road to head home. 

John headed down to Mississippi and Louisiana to work for the week. And my mom made the drive home with me and the girls.
