Ten and Eleven Months

 Emery - you are 10 and 11 months old:)

I didn't even make you a sticker this month. I grabbed some pictures while you were actually in a white onesie - which is rare!

Okay.....so I totally slacked on your 10 month post. I just never have time to sit down at the computer anymore. So I'm combining these posts. I would say you are experiencing 2nd child syndrome, but I didn't have a blog until Meyers was almost 2, so I probably would have slacked on hers, too:)

I have no idea how much you weigh. I would guess somewhere between 22 and 23 pounds.

You are in size 4 diapers and 12-18 month clothes. You can fit into your sister's size 2 shoes that she wore when she was closer to 2 years old:)

You are still a great eater.

Somewhere between 10 and 11 months, you went down to 3 8oz bottles a day. We are now doing half formula and half 2% milk to get you ready to have all milk when you turn 1.

We FINALLY stopped swaddling you about a month ago. I know that might sound crazy to you one day, but you really did love being swaddled. You would get out of it during the night, but you are so wiggly that you needed it to keep you calm while we got you to sleep. On that note, we still aren't rocking you to sleep. We rock for a few minutes and put you in bed with your ducky - which you are obsessed with! It's the cutest thing ever! Meyers never cared for a lovey, and you didn't until a month or so ago. When we get you out of bed, you bend down to pick it up to bring it with you - so cute! Tonight, for example, you started crying after I put you in bed. When you didn't settle down, I went in to check on you, and ducky was on the floor. I got you back settled with ducky, and you went to sleep.

You took your first steps on November 10 at 9.5 months. You have been walking more and more each day. On Christmas day, it's like you flipped a switch and decided to to mostly walk instead of crawl. I would say you are walking about 70% of the time now and crawling about 30% of the time. Crazy!!

You are finally saying ma-ma! It's not usually directed at me, but I still love to hear it. Your only words are da-da and ma-ma.

You are such a fan of Mickey Mouse Clubhosue, and I'm thankful for it! We depend on Mickey when you are doing your nebulizer and when I need to stick you in the pack-n-play for a minute.

You are really great at playing independently. You can just sit in the floor and play by yourself for a while. I probably could have predicted that by your personality:) 

As feisty as you can be, you are so sweet when Meyers doesn't want to share with you.

You do like to be held some, but only on your terms:) About a month or so ago, you laid your head on my shoulder while I was holding you, and I almost teared up because it was so sweet and RARE. You are not a cuddler, and I cherish the moments when you want to cuddle with me:)

 The feeling I get when I see you and Meyers loving on each other and playing together NEVER gets old. It warms my heart every time. Most mornings, we (me, you, and Meyers) hang out in the bed while I feed you your morning bottle. Meyers and you are always holding hands. It's the cutest thing! I pray that you and your sister will always be close and be each other's best friends.

 Emery - we ALL love you so much. You bring us such joy. You wear us out, but I wouldn't have it any other way. You are so precious to us and continue to be the PERFECT addition to our family!!
