Meyers is finally branching out with a few different TV shows she likes to watch, but her favorites are still Mickey and Yo Gabba Gabba. It's been that way since she discovered TV at 2.5. John and I had been talking for a while about taking her to see Yo Gabba Gabba if they came back through Memphis again.
Tickets went on sale in November, and John was all about getting the VIP tickets until he heard how much they were. We weren't sure if she'd get scared meeting the characters, and then we would have wasted a bunch of money. We still paid an arm and a leg for good seats, though. Geez! It was basically like a regular concert ticket times 3. We thought Emery would probably like it, but knew it would be hard to take her at this age. We will definitely take her next time:)
Meyers has a friend who likes Gabba just as much as her, so we went with another family. We ALL had a blast. It was like a real concert - we stood up almost the entire time and danced. It was really fun, and I'm so glad we took her. After the show, we went to the Spaghetti Warehouse to eat. Surprisingly, it was really good! I was shocked. I used to take my 5th graders there when we went on a field trip downtown, and it was never very good. I guess it helps not having 50 children with you:)
