Disney World Day 5 - Magic Kingdom

On our last day at Disney World, we went back to the Magic Kingdom. I was excited to do a few things we didn't get to on Monday and to do some of our favorites again. We woke up on Friday, and it was even colder than the day before. It started off misting, but by the time we got to the MK it was sprinkling good. I'm not super outdoorsy, but I don't mind being in the rain as long as I have a hat and a good rain jacket. I packed a hat but left it in the room, so I bought a $20 Mickey hat that I'll probably never wear again! Oh well....at least I could brave the rain:) It was funny to look around and see other women in brand new Disney hats. I guess I wasn't the only person that wants my hair to not look crazy in the rain!

Since we canceled our table service dinner the night before, our planner was able to get us in for breakfast at the Crystal Palace on Friday morning. My girls aren't huge Winnie the Pooh fans so it wasn't on our list of restaurants, but I'm so glad it worked out this way and we got to go. It was the most well-run character meal we had. The characters had "handlers" that made sure they got to all the tables and no one got skipped. Most character meals are buffets, and I was impressed with the breakfast buffet here. The food was really good. It was also nice to get to the park and be able to get out of the rain while we ate. So this meal turned out to be an unexpected plus!

Tigger - love this picture with both girls all smiles!

We walked right out of the Crystal Palace and got more castle pictures. Getting more castle pictures was not important to me, but I'm glad we have ones from Monday when it's warm and sunny and ones from Friday where you can see it's colder and rainy:)

Love this picture!

Our first fast pass was for Space Mountain for me and John. I love Space Mountain!! It would have been fun to ride together, but it was still fun to ride. While John rode, I strolled the girls around. I wish I had gotten a picture of the girls in their plastic bubble. Our stroller came with a rain cover. We just put it over them - not tight so that they couldn't breathe - but enough so that they wouldn't get wet. It was pretty funny looking and they rode like that off and on all day as the rain would get heavier and then let up. We strolled over to the tea cups. The wait was short so I decided that I could handle taking them by myself. I'm so glad we did:)

popcorn to the rescue!

When John was done, we went to our next FP for the Winnie the Pooh ride. It was super cute!! Meyers changes what her favorite thing was weekly since we've been back, but she told someone this week that this was her favorite ride. After that, we rode It's a Small World again.

The girls snacked a lot and we ate a big breakfast, so we never really ate lunch that day. Before we knew it, it was time to get Meyers to the Bippity Boppity Boutique. We kind of sneaked Meyers away so Emery wouldn't be sad (you have to be 3 to go the BBB), and Meyers and I went to the castle for her appointment. The BBB was precious - a little crazy and hectic - but precious! Our appointment wasn't until 1 and we were told to get there at 12:45. I don't think we made it back until closer to 1:30. Meyers was sweet about it, but didn't understand why we had to wait. We finally made it back there and I could not read her little face. I think she enjoyed it, but I think it was a lot to take in. Her fairy godmother was super sweet and stayed in character the whole time. I think it was hurting her little head some, too, but she didn't want to say anything. She picked her own hairstyle out. I was proud of letting her make the decision, but John said I should have intervened:) They did her make up and painted her nails. It was a really cute experience! And Emery napped in the stroller while we were at the BBB!

Fancy! Getting her hair and make up done at the same time:)

She basically has corn rows:)

and pink and purple extensions

The photo pass photographer finally got her to really smile.

Our last FP was for a meet and greet with Cinderella and a visiting princess. There was also a meet and greet with Rapunzel, but we picked Cinderella because Meyers likes her better. We were hoping that Snow White would be the visiting princess. When we got there, we saw that Snow White was Rapunzel's visiting princess. John told me I should ask them if we could switch fast passes. And I told him there was no way they would do that - Disney is hard core about these fast passes. We went back and forth about it for a few minutes, and I decided to ask them if we could switch. I mean, it was for Meyers - I had to suck it up and be awkward and beg this guy to let us switch:) We asked the guy working the Rapunzel side. I explained that we had a FP for Cinderella, but we had no idea that Snow White was Rapunzel's visiting princess and that Snow White is our little girl's favorite princess and is there any way we could switch FP to do Rapunzel and Snow White. Let me just tell you - that guy didn't care about my story at all. He did say if the wait to see Rapunzel wasn't 80 minutes that he "might" could do something, but with the wait being that long, he couldn't. He told us to go over on the side where our FP was for (Cinderella and Aurora) and see if they could do anything. So we did. I went over there and told my same story and explained that we aren't trying to see all 4 princesses, but we wanted to see Snow White and could we switch our FP. He basically said the same thing the other guy did. And then OUT OF NOWHERE, a cast member named Edward came up and we explained it to him, and he said "yeah, come on back". WHAT?!?!?! We were shocked and just followed him. We cut in front of EVERYONE that was waiting to see Rapunzel and Snow White, and he put us at the front of the line. When we got to that waiting area, he told the other cast member back there that we were having a "magical moment". At the time I had no idea what that was until after our trip when I got home and googled. All I knew was that we had just hit the jackpot AGAIN! I told John I didn't want to make eye contact with anyone because I was afraid they would kick us out even though Edward just brought us back there. It was the craziest thing! We waited for a minute or so and then they took us in to see Rapunzel and Snow White. It was so much fun! Emery squealed the whole time, and Meyers had this big smile on her face. It was precious. Those princesses are so good!

so sweet!

dancing with Snow White - Meyers totally curtsied after they got done dancing:)
Emery plopped down in the floor and so did Snow White:)

love this!
We walked out of that Meet and Greet with the biggest smiles on our faces! When we got out, John said "let's go use our FP now". The rule follower in me came out, and I explained that I told one of those guys we were not trying to see all 4 princesses and that I'd be lying if we went and used it. I later remembered our conversation with our little angel, Edward, and him saying to use the FP too. But I didn't remember it at the time. I felt kind of bad going to use our FP, but we walked right up to one of the same guys that didn't care about my story and scanned our bands and went right on in. Craziness! The girls loved meeting Cinderella and Aurora, too!

Love this look on Meyers's face

chatting it up with Cinderella

sweet hugs!

Fun fact: this was Belle from Enchanted Tales with Belle:) She was SO pretty as both princesses!

We walked out of that place on cloud nine!!! I am still in awe of our magical moment at Epcot on Wednesday and then a second one on Friday at the Magic Kingdom. I think we caught a parade after this, and then John and I ate a late lunch/snack of hamburger macaroni and cheese, and it was so good! We walked around some more, and I think we may have ridden a repeat ride, but I can't remember! Our dinner that night was at Ohana. We got in line to ride the ferry, but we were told we wouldn't make our reservation in time, so we rode the bus with a cheerleading squad from New York. They were so funny and sweet. We barely made it to Ohana. I don't know how the girls made it through dinner because it was late. John and I really enjoyed the dinner, and the girls did great for being so exhausted. We did get to ride the ferry back, and Meyers thought that was fun. There was a long wait to get on the bus back to our resort, and Meyers passed out:)

we had the ferry to ourselves!

sleepy girls!

I was so sad that this was our last day, but I was ready to not have to be "on" all day for 6 days straight. We had an AMAZING time and we are already planning our next trip back:)

Favorites:
Meyers: Bippity Boppity Boutique
Emery: Princess Meet and Greet - she seriously squealed the entire time!
Beth: our magical moment
John: same
