Meyers's 5th Birthday

Meyers turned 5 on April 1st. We celebrated before school with a birthday donut. Since it was her birthday, she got to be the star of the day. She brought her favorite snack, her favorite book and a few show and tell items. But what she was most excited about was getting to be the line leader:) She had ballet after school, and they sang happy birthday to her there. And after ballet, we went to eat pizza and she got to bring her friend, Emily. I think she thought that was SO cool that a friend got to come eat with us! She had a big day celebrating!

We had her party the Saturday after her birthday. We do a big party every other year and this was her big year. She chose a Sofia party and I had plans of putting together a huge party from scratch to match the theme. Then I got completely overwhelmed and decided to do a Sofia party at a donut shop. Best.Decision.Ever!!! I was still able to have a few cutesy, crafty things without thinking of and creating games and activities to do. She loves her whole class, so we invited the whole class (I was shocked and happy that most of the class came) and close friends and family. It was a super cute and fun party! The kids had SO much fun and I think the parents even did, too:) They got to see start to finish how donuts are made and they got to eat donuts and pizza and more donuts and cake!! I'm sure the parents loved taking their sugared up kids home:)

beating the dough - they loved that!!

Love Hayes's chopstick hands!

After they played with the dough and rolled it out, they got to see how donuts are cut out, then fried, and then they got to ice their own warm donuts to take home.
My mom made the most FANTASTIC Sofia dress cupcake cake! It was gorgeous!!!!!
