September 2010 and August 2014
We'll close on our new house the end of September. I think it's so strange that we've closed on all three houses we've bought in the month of September (even our first house).
Packed up like the Clampets and ready to go.
Getting on the road Tuesday afternoon.....We drove halfway and stopped in Nashville for an early dinner with family. I took no pictures at all but we had fun and the girls had fun seeing their second cousins. We drove on to Gatlinburg after that. Nobody napped UNTIL 10:30 at night when we were almost to Gatlinburg. Whew! Rough!
We finally got them back to sleep in the hotel around 12:45 am. And I tossed and turned all night. I felt like I'd had newborn sleep that night. We were going to attempt to do something fun in Gatlinburg the next morning, but thought we should get on the road.
I don't get carsick but I was even feeling blah driving through the mountains. The smartest parents ever let Emery play on her kindle while we were driving and about 20 minutes later, she threw up everywhere. It was so pitiful. We pulled over at a gas station. It's always a good time cleaning your child in a gas station parking lot.
Sweet girl was so good about it and didn't even really cry. We cleaned her and the seat up as well as you can with baby wipes, Clorox wipes and Mustella and got back on the road. We got to town around 7:00 Wednesday night.
Since we are in temporary housing and there's nothing to unpack or do until we close on our house, we've just been hanging out, playing at the park in our new neighborhood, swimming, shopping and exploring our new city:)
