Meyers went to her preschool orientation today. We talked for two days about how she was going to meet her teachers and new friends. It's so cute that she can say her two teachers' names. I got to speak with both of the teachers and feel great about Meyers being in their care one day a week this next year. Meyers walked right in and started playing. I'm thinking when I drop her off for real that she is going to be just fine. I sure hope so. My heart will break if she cries!!
On another note, I was the ONLY mom with a camera!! I kind of felt crazy, but I'm glad I captured this day!
Preschool Orientation Day 2011
Meyers is wearing her daddy's favorite Shrimp and Grits turtles dress. He loves her in this! We wore a dress to orientation since we won't be wearing long dresses to school. She gets "stuck" in them and it's a rule. And you know I'm a rule follower!!
There was also a plethora of babies and bottles to play with.
She loved sitting at the table and chairs and pretending to eat.
She LOVED the oven in the little kitchen.
Again....at the table. She loved it being her size!
Taking a little rest.....
She also thought she needed to do a little vacuuming. Again....another thing she needs for Christmas. She loves the vacuum.
She finally made it over to the puzzle table.
She made a quick phone call to daddy.
And then proceeded to leave her germs on the toy food for the boys and girls that came later.
See?? No matter how many times you say "no mouth", they want to put everything in their mouth. In her defense, the food looked extremely real:)
She discovered the train table and thought that was pretty neat!
And then she was over ALL the toys in the room and wanted to play with the wipes in my diaper bag!!
We left preschool and our friends came over to play and eat lunch for a little bit. We had a great morning and afternoon and then BOTH took good naps!!
What an exciting day! I love seeing her in the "school" environment. She is going to love it!!
