Eight Months

 Emery - you are 8 months old today!!!

 

 

We don't go back to the doctor until next month, so I'm not sure of your weight.

You are still in 6-12 month clothing (depending on the brand) and size 3 diapers.

Your eating schedule changed this month. After church one day, you were not really interested in your noon bottle, so I just fed you baby food. I decided that day that we would try you on an 8:00 am, 2:00 pm, and 8:00 pm bottle schedule, and you did awesome. You are getting the ounces you need for the day, and I LOVE only 3 bottles a day. So now you eat a big girl lunch and a big girl dinner with bottles in between.

 

You want real food SO bad, so we are hardly doing any baby food. Sometimes I still do it if someone is watching you because you are a MESS with the table food, and I feel bad making someone else clean you up:) But when we are at home with you, you eat table food for lunch and dinner, and you EAT SO MUCH! Table foods that you eat/have been eating: turkey, cheese, grapes, bananas, oranges, freeze dried strawberries, sweet potato, butternut squash, avocado, cheerios, puffs, teeny tiny bites of cheese quesadilla, teeny tiny bites of Chick fil a nuggets (yes, she is so the second child. I think Meyers had CFA around 13 or 14 months)

You are a climber! You want to be moving ALL the time. I say this all the time, but you and your sister are SO very different as babies.

You totally think you are a big girl - not an 8 month old baby!

 

I can not turn my head for one second if you are not contained. You will happily play in your playpen for a little bit, so that is great! I can actually get the kitchen cleaned up from your meals while you are contained - it takes me forever to get your highchair clean after each meal:)

 

Your top two teeth came through last week, and it looks like the ones on each side of those are trying to come through.

You are still only taking a few tentative cruising steps, but you can actually take a few steps with a walker toy to push. Crazy! You are too little to be doing this:)

Meyers at 8 months

We love you so very much, Emery. You are our wild baby, and you keep us on our toes, but we are ALL crazy about you! Your sweet smile and your precious laugh just melt me. I am enjoying you being more independent because it makes you a happier, more content baby, but I can't believe how fast you are growing up!
