John was already in North Carolina and we bought tickets before we knew we were moving, so Jenn was my date:)

Sweet friends at church. My girls love the Tillmans- this was my last Sunday teaching 3 year olds with Jennifer T. 

We did lots of painting last month - it always makes me feel like "mom of the year" when I let my kids paint:)

We spent lots of mornings at CFA too.

Emery decided she was okay with sitting on the potty. That's about as far as we've gotten. 

Meyers was really excited to bust out her cowboy boots again:)

We did a lot of house hunting through FaceTime. This was the winner. 

Emery went to the ER for the first time. 

Meyers decided she wanted a ponytail and just like that, she aged 3 years!

Went to my last book club where almost everybody was able to come and they surprised me with an amazon gift card. I was SO shocked! And they all toasted and said sweet things about me while I cried:) Such a special night! I'm going to miss book club so much!

The girls had dentist appointments

Meyers had a urologist check up the same day and the girls had a blast riding all the animals. 

Another breakfast at CFA with Brooke and Drew where the sweetest man made the kids balloons. 

I did a little packing this month and Meyers was so excited about this picture she took of me:)

We made a welcome home sign for John. He was gone for a little over a month before the girls saw him. He last saw them July 19 and came home August 23.  I saw him last at the end of July while we were house hunting. 

This girl is always stealing my smoothies. 

I ran my first 5k with Lauren. I met my goal of running the entire race. I didn't care how slow I was as long as I didn't walk. And I did it. On the hottest weekend of 2014!

Meyers went to Shaw's karate birthday party and had a blast doing karate!

The girls went to Dylan's birthday party where some of us mamas were all wearing some form of Aqua and coral:)

We went shopping at one of the malls closest to us that has a nordstroms. Um....love having a nordstroms close by! I'd trade it to be closer to home but I'm trying to be positive:)

We went to our new neighborhood to eat dinner at the park. 

We found some yummy ice cream AND a Krispy Kreme whose hot sign is on almost all the time. Dangerous!

We joined the nicest childrens museum. 

Hanging out in the men's department at nordstroms while john tried on jeans. We went to the mall two days in a row:)

We visited a church that's adding on. You have to park far away and then ride on a golf cart to get to church. The girls loved that!

We went to a Durham Bulls game with some new friends and a Labor Day cook out the next day with friends from John's work (I took no pictures but we had a great time). 

August was busy, fun, and sad. We are looking forward to routine, normalcy and moving into our house in September:)
