We Did It!

I feel like singing the Dora the Explorer "We Did It" song which has somehow weaseled it's way into our family. We made it 5+ years without our kids discovering Dora. Thanks to Kindle Free Time Unlimited, we are inundated with Dora lately. But "We did it. We did it. We did it. Yeah, yeah, we did it" feels like our theme song today. 

It's been a crazy few days, and Wells Fargo is on my list due to their incompetency, but we finally closed on our house this afternoon. It's only been a month in this apartment but it feels like it's been at least six. 

A month in an apartment isn't/shouldn't be that terrible. But I've realized in the last week or so that while I don't love this apartment, it's not all the apartment's fault. I really hate not having MY stuff. I'm so looking forward to my couch, my mattress and sheets, my pots and pans, the girls' toys, etc. A friend texted me this week saying how I would appreciate my new house even more because of our time here in the apartment. And she's right. I can already feel it. Looking forward to being exhausted tomorrow from moving and unpacking and going to sleep in MY bed in my new house that's MINE:)
