Meyers didn't want to drink her smoothie I made so I told her the alternative was eating  a bunch of spinach AND she took me up on it!!!!

Hurricane Matthew brought lots of flooding. We were just fine but this is the road outside our neighborhood as it started to flood and wash the road away.

This was the next day after the water subsided.

Crazy what nature can do! It's supposed to be fixed the end of November. Right now we have an extra detour.

John and I celebrated 14 years of marriage!!

We've changed just a little bit in 14 years;)

My mom came in town for her fall break so she was in town during our anniversary. Meyers had big plans with my mom to do something for us while we were gone:) They made this cake. Meyers was firm that there had to be a cake:)

They decorated and made us coupon books, too!

My mom made them veils and bouquets and they pretended to be  little brides and made us the sweetest video about how they want to be "just like mommy when they grow up and marry a man just like daddy". I screen shot the video - that's why Meyers looks a little funny.

My mom still talks about me at dance one time when the dance teacher kept pushing me to stretch further and further. This made me think about that:)

This little monkey went with me to vote after school one day. We waited for 50 minutes and she was an angel. She did think we were going to a "boat" and that the line was for a ride, but she got over that and was super sweet. Ha!

John has a couple of reps in West Virginia. He has been telling me how pretty it is up there especially right now with the leaves, so we picked Meyers up from school and went up there. We ate at his favorite Italian restaurant Friday night. Saturday morning, we went to play mini golf on what looked like the side of a mountain! We were the only ones there and had a blast!

This place was this tiny little house from the street, but behind it in the woods was the cutest mini golf course. It was so pretty back there!

The New River Gorge Bridge is in Beckley, WV. It's no longer the longest arch bridge in the US, but it used to be and is still in like the top 3, I believe. It's also the 3rd highest bridge in the US. It was a little scary driving over it! We went to see it after mini golf.

You can't walk across the bridge except on one day a year -Bridge Day - but there is a lookout spot that you can go to and this is one of  the views from that.

After that we drove the scenic route and stopped at a state park. 

The views were stunning and made me wish I had my real camera and not just my phone!

Our book club had our scarf exchange. Everyone couldn't make it, but it was still fun:)
