Thanksgiving 2016

John's parents came in town the week of Thanksgiving. They got in town the Saturday before to give them time to get settled before we left Monday for Williamsburg. Apparently we should've bought a pass because we went in October AND November;). My feet have been messed up since July (plantar fasciitis and a heel spur on my left foot) and I've been "babying" them with my workouts, but that Saturday, I ruptured my plantar on my left foot at my boxing class. The pain was quick, but I still shiver when I remember the way it sounded and felt. Ugh! I got around okay on Saturday, but by Sunday morning, I couldn't walk on it. I saw my orthopedist and they put me in a walking cast for two weeks. It was so awkward to walk on, but I could actually walk and it didn't hurt!

Williamsburg was short and sweet, but we had fun. The girls really love it up there! We shopped and walked around Monday night and then did Colonial Williamsburg on Tuesday. We were home by Tuesday night and getting ready for Thanksgiving by Wednesday morning:). It was so nice to have family here for a holiday and not have to travel on a holiday. They helped us get a few things done around here including decorating for Christmas!! Thankful for that!!

we ate dinner at this fun restaurant that had a "pizza bar" for the kids to make their own pizza

This sweet girl remembered them from our October visit!

Gran bought them souvenirs.

We played mancala and shut the box with these ladies in one of the houses.

They were so sweet and patient.

It was already decorated for Christmas up there and SO pretty!

The girls said they would want to dress up as pilgrims so I threw these together that morning.  Yeah- they wore them for the picture and then they were done with them.

Thankful for these three right here!!
