This is why the laundry is piled up.....

Our MOPS group had an auction at our last meeting on Wednesday. We were fundraising for an event in August to outreach to possible new members. They asked if anybody could donate anything. I always have extra fabric laying around, so I said I would make some pillowcase dresses. I think they turned out cute. I am always so unsure of my fabric choices and combinations, but they "sold". **We had to bid on things with what we would need for the event such as hotdog buns, napkins, drinks, etc. It was so funny to hear people bid "2 hot dog buns, 2 bags of chips, and a bottle of ketchup" for things. I can't remember what the dresses went for, but they got a lot of items needed with them:)**

After I finished the dresses, I feel like I should have bought a little gift for the ladies that take care of Meyers every other Wednesday. They are so very sweet and just love on her. So I made them some thank you cards with a little note from Meyers.

Then since I was in card-making mode, I made two sets for the auction, too.

My favorite part was wrapping them up pretty. It just made everything cuter!! And I'm obsessed with this gray grosgrain ribbon I found at the Dollar Store. It had 4 yards on it for $1!!! I think I need to go pick up some more before they run out.

So now that I'm done making things (for a few days), I need to go do the laundry! But I'd much rather be making something:)

  1. I am truly impressed by your creative side! I like all of your happies that you made but my favorite is the little light blue with pink dress! So stinkin' cute! If I had a little girl I would definately bid like 100 hotdog buns! ha!
