Weekend Fun

On Friday, we went to the zoo. Apparently it was the day to go because it was packed! We even had to park in the grass - that never happens to us on weekdays. I guess Friday during the day was the start of everyone's weekend! Before we went I got a few pictures of the girls all matchy-matchy in their alligator outfits. I wanted to eat them up!
John keeps asking me how long we are going to match them. And my answer is forever.

Just kidding! But I will be matching/coordinating them as much as possible until Meyers pitches a fit because she is "too cool for school". I'm hoping that's a long way away because seriously, how cute are they? Yes, they are mine and I'm totally biased:)
Meyers is still loving being in the stroller with her sister. It's really cute. I was slightly worried that we would buy a double stroller, and she would all the sudden be "miss independent" and not want to ride, but that hasn't happened yet
It was nice having John with us. Normally when we just go with friends, I can't spend as much time showing Meyers all the animals because I'm trying to keep the stroller moving so Emery doesn't lose it:) She actually was awake until we started to walk out. Figures! But she was sweet and content the whole time.
This girl is getting so chunky, and I love it!
After the zoo, we went to eat lunch and came home.

Friday night, John and I went on a date to Ruth's Chris. I totally forgot to take a picture of us documenting this long overdue date! I am still thinking about our yummy food! So good!

On Saturday, I took Meyers to a birthday party at a yogurt shop. This might be the best, easiest birthday idea ever, and I may steal it! She had a lot of fun. She doesn't love ice cream; she's fickle about it (like most foods!), but she dug in when she saw the other boys and girls doing it.
Saturday afternoon, Meyers took a nap. That is a seriously rare thing around here. AND the most exciting part about that is that BOTH girls were napping at the same time. Whoo! Hoo! John and I actually got to take about a 30 minute nap while they were sleeping. First time that's happened since my parents were at our house the few days after Emery was born!

  1. Great pictures....and look at the blue eyes on that baby girl....they are beautiful! And, by the way, I love the "matchy-matchy" outfits....I say keep it up as long as you can!

  2. Matchy-matchy as long as we can!! :) They look adorable! I can't believe how grown these baby girls are becoming. Going WAY too fast! Makes me glad there are several preggos around me because I find myself missing that newborn baby!
