12 Weeks

In the future, I hope to have this up every Friday.....when I turn a new week, but since I just announced it on Friday, and I've been busy all weekend, it's up on Sunday today.

Some other blogs that I read did a weekly update while pregnant. I didn't journal my pregnancy for Meyers (something that I regret). So I'm excited to document this baby. It'll be a trade-off. Meyers will have a hand-written journal of her first two years (not pregnancy) and this baby will have a documented pregnancy and childhood....on the blog:)

12 weeks now

12 weeks with Meyers

How Far Along: 12 Weeks

Size of baby: a lime, just over two inches and weighs 1/2 ounce

Maternity Clothes: Kind of. None of my shorts fit, so I am wearing a lot of non-maternity stretchy skirts with regular and maternity fitted tops. I still have some regular fuller dresses that I am wearing. Now that we are telling people, I am embracing my baby bump!

Gender: We are not finding out!

Movement: Obviously not yet!

Sleep: I am already having to get up at night a time or two to use the restroom. Even though this baby is clearly not big enough to sit on my bladder, that has already started. It did that with Meyers, too.

Symptoms: crazy dreams. I had crazy dreams with Meyers, too. I am exhausted everyday and am trying to nap when Meyers does. I worked with Meyers, but I feel like I am more exhausted this pregnancy being a SAHM.

What I miss: wearing my cute summer clothes

Cravings: I had to have Taco Bell this week. Now, Taco Bell doesn't disgust me, but it's definitely a once and a while thing for me. John could eat it every meal! The other day, we were driving home from a playdate, and I could not stop thinking about it. So we made a swing through the drive through for a cheesy gordita crunch!

Symptoms: I have not been sick at all. I was not sick with Meyers, either. I can not tell you how blessed I feel about that!! This week, though, I have been having what feels like tiny contractions when I lay down at night. The doctor was not concerned at all, but just told me to let her know if it continues.

Best Moment this week: Seeing our baby on the ultrasound and getting a good report. I don't remember seeing Meyers heart pumping, but we got to see this baby's heart pumping. Meyers came to the ultrasound and kept saying "hi, baby". That melted my heart. Being able to tell people now that I'm 12 weeks has been exciting, too.

  2. I'm with you on the Taco Bell too! Have you gone to get a hot dog yet?! ;) You look so cute! And you moms that actually keep up with this stuff are so good! I am a ridiculous slacker in this department!

  3. Congrats to you and John! I didn't get very sick with Russell either, and it really is a true blessing. I'll pray that everything about this pregnancy goes smooth for you. Congrats again!
