4th of July Parade

Our neighborhood had a 4th of July parade last night. Apparently they do this each year, but this is our first year here, so it was our first time. We were told to decorate our bikes, strollers, etc. Meyers loves her wagon, so I decorated it. I found this banner at Target in the dollar section and cut out USA with my cricut. I have to say, I wanted to go all out on it, but we had just gotten back in town a couple of hours before this, so this is all I did to it.

We met up with the neighbors and walked around our loop. Some of the neighbors without small children set up chairs on their lawn to watch. It was cute!

My parents came. My mom said she had to see Meyers in her first parade:)

It was so very hot!! Meyers was trying to keep hydrated!

I know this face doesn't show it, but she was having fun.

John was the puller while I documented the event:)

Poor girl sweats just like her mama! Her little curls were wet!

Afterwards we had popsicles and cookies in a neighbor's yard. Meyers found a toy to play with.....

....and she met a friend. She promptly showed him her belly button. Crazy girl!

I was melting and so was she, so we decided to head home. She was not thrilled with that idea!
