Pumpkin Patch 2011

My MOPS group had a family outing yesterday at the pumpkin patch. I thought the weather was going to be hot, but it was perfect with all the shade out there. We went to the same pumpkin patch last year, so I have a lot of pictures to compare to. John, Meyers, and I went to our favorite donut shop before the pumpkin patch.

Normally Meyers eats some of the chocolate cake donut broken up, but today she was adventurous and tried a donut hole!

She liked it enough, but then wanted her chocolate cake kind.

John asked her why I was putting her in this dress. Clearly he forgot who he was married to momentarily:) I told him that the pumpkin patch was one of the main reasons I bought a pumpkin dress. She looked precious in it! It reverses to santa on the other side, and she noticed that for the first time (I have several shrimp and grits dresses that do this), and she thought it was so neat that santa was on her tummy (inside her dress)!

Here she is last year. It was super cold that day, so we had to bundle up. The pumpkin dress (from last year) did not make an appearance:)

Meyers really enjoyed this little house this year........

and last year, too!

I know she has grown a lot, but to compare like this makes me sad! Last year we would not have been able to get a picture like this because she was not walking. Now here she is posing:)

Since she wasn't walking last year, we just had to plop her down to get a picture!

Meyers really enjoyed swinging on the swing. She really isn't quite ready for the big swings. Another little girl didn't mean to, but she stopped Meyers swing because we told her it could be her turn and Meyers fell off the swing! John was right with her, but it happened so fast. I was there, too, but thankfully my head was turned because I was talking with someone. I'm kind of glad I didn't see it.

This was taken before her little fall. She was having so much fun!

She recovered after about 10 minutes of me holding her and she moved onto the cars (beep-beeps) that they had everywhere.

Some of her friends, Hayes and Baby Bryn showed up as we were leaving. We got some pictures with all of them. Funny story: Bryn is wearing Meyers dress from last year because all of her "fall" clothes were too warm for the day. So they "kind of " matched in two different seasons of dresses, AND Meyers's pumpkin dress from last year finally made an appearance at the pumpkin patch:)

Love this sweet girl!!

She was very cooperative to let me get some good pictures of her. I joked with other moms that I got my pictures, so we could leave now:) I'm not the most "outdoorsy" girl, especially when it comes to all the hay and dirt!

Here she is last year sitting by the same pumpkin area.

And just to compare, here she is 2 years ago (at a different pumpkin patch). Geez, she was so little then! Look how puffy and fat her little hands are! Hmmm! Yum!

Wow, I knew that my face was getting big in my weekly picture shots, but turning sideways kind of helps. This front on picture makes me look large and in charge!!! I really didn't want my pregnant self in a picture, but I had to have a family picture of us all there. Our family of "four".

Here we are last year when we were only a family of "three".

We had lots of fun at the pumpkin patch. The most fun for me is making memories for Meyers and our family. Next year, we'll have an almost 9 month old with us. Crazy!!!!
