36 Weeks Now
36 Weeks with Meyers
My "elephant" legs at 36 weeks pregnant with Meyers. Is it any wonder I gained a ton more weight with Meyers?? Look how swollen I was. This is what my legs looked like every night when I would get home from work. And in case you don't know this, I don't have big legs. I don't have skinny minny legs, but they are not big!
Me and Jamie at Steph's rehearsal dinner
To prove that, I had to dig around in picture files to find A picture with my legs in it. That was kind of difficult. See.....they aren't huge. I kind of look like a mess in this picture. I was 25 pounds heavier than my normal, not pregnant weight, and I had just finished chemo, so I was still wearing my wig. I loved my wig, but I wasn't having a good "wig day" that day!
Okay.....enough with the legs! But let me just say that I am so glad I have that picture of my swollen legs! I can show Meyers one day how huge she made me:)
How Far Along: 36 weeks
Size of baby: a crenshaw melon (whatever that is), 18.5 inches long, and weighs almost 6 pounds
Maternity Clothes: All maternity this week.
Gender: We'll find out in less than 3 weeks!!!!!!!
Movement: Yes!!! All the time!
Sleep: I am sleeping okay besides getting up to use the restroom several times a night.
What I Miss: I miss having enough room in my belly to eat! I miss having enough room in my lap for Meyers to sit in comfortably. I miss being able to bend over, get up and down out of the floor.....all the things that you do all day with a toddler.
Cravings: I haven't really had an appetite again. I'm so ready to have an appetite again and eat everything in sight and then start working to get the baby weight off!

Symptoms: I still feel pretty uncomfortable.....laying, standing, sitting, whatever..... This baby is constantly on my bladder, so I feel like I'm going to wet my pants all the time. I am having major random heartburn!! I am sick this week and so is Meyers. I always say that everything is harder when you are pregnant, especially being sick!
Best Moment This Week: I had my doctor's appointment yesterday, and as always, it's great to hear that heartbeat. We also scheduled my c section yesterday. The hospital still has to call me to confirm, but my doctor scheduled it for January 26th! That is 3 weeks from yesterday!!!!!!! So stinkin' excited! Another great moment came today when I started cutting out fabric for a bubble that I'm making the baby. It's lime green gingham that I'll get monogrammed for a boy or a girl, depending. Yes, if we have a boy, he will be in bubbles until he is at least one! I'm dressing him or her that way as long as I can because it sure is sad when they can't wear them anymore! Anyway, I just got this weird, happy feeling as I was cutting it out. I guess it took me sewing for the baby to really make it "real". It just made me so very excited!!!
