Beauty Shop with Daddy

We have routines at our house like most people do. Since Meyers was born, John has always been the "bather". I think men have more patience with bath time:) After being home all day, bath time is not what I have patience for! Since John is the bather, I am the one that does the rest: getting pjs on, drying hair, brushing teeth, etc. Then it's back to John so that he can read and rock and put her down to bed.

We've done this so long that Meyers even starts saying "mommy, put my jammies on!" on the way out of the bathroom! Then she says "daddy'll be waiting on you." This is what he says when he delivers her out of the bathroom all snuggled up in a towel:)

There are times (few) when I'm gone in the evening and John has to do the whole evening routine himself. Since I've been sick for what seems like months (it's really just been 2 weeks), John has been doing the whole nighttime routine more and more. He does so well drying her hair and making it look all pretty. He is such a good girl daddy! He's a wonderful daddy period, but he was cut out to be a girl daddy:)

Anyway, I've never gotten this on camera, but I finally did. I think Meyers will think this picture of her and her daddy playing "beauty shop" will be special to her one day:)
