Meyers's Birthday Week

 This cutie turned four on April 1st. These pictures are from the morning of her birthday.

That night we told her she could go anywhere she wanted for dinner. And she picked Chick fil a. Normally we just go through the drive thru, but she was super excited to go in and eat and play on the playground. It doesn't take much to get her excited:)

Since her birthday fell so close to Easter, I wanted to have her party the weekend after her birthday. It was just a family party this year. We are kind of on an every other year having a big party for her. I'm not sure how long it will last, but it's working so far. Last year was a blow out. This year was a tiny bit smaller - just family. I love to throw a party, but is so much work and expense to do a big one every year. I had been asking her for a while what kind of party she wanted, and she consistently answered "a Mickey party", so that's what we did......kind of. I ended up turning it into a Minnie party because the girls already had Minnie outfits. That was an easy one:) I kept all of the decorations
simple, but cute. It took no time at all to make everything, so that's always nice.

My mom made most of my birthday cakes growing up. And she's made all of Meyers's and Emery's so far, too. She does not do fondant, just regular icing, but I wanted regular icing anyway because it tastes better. I think I aged her several years by asking her to make this cake:) She was super stressed because she wanted it to be perfect. She did awesome; it looks just like the picture I drew for her.

This cake weighed so much!!! It was huge!

I loved how this turned out! That doesn't always happen:)
