Check Up

Emery had her one month check up today. For real. Not like last week when I thought she had her appointment.

I need to change her weight on her one month post because I was way off!
-weight: 9 lbs, 14 oz - 75%
- length: 21.5 in - a little above 50%
- head: 15 in - 75%

I'll have to go back and look at Meyers's stats to compare.

After talking to Dr. Catherine about Emery's fussiness (which I think is way better, but still frequent), she wants to change her formula. I had just kind of chalked up her fussiness as her being a little "high maintenance". Like I said, it's way better, so I thought this is just something we have to get through. Dr. Catherine looked at me like I was crazy and said that it was not normal. I "heart" Dr. Catherine - so glad she's our doctor! We were already using Enfamil Gentlease, which is not cheap. Now she wants us on Enfamil Nutramigen. It is about $8 MORE a can for a few ounces less than the gentlease! Geez! This little girl is going to make us go broke:) I'm kidding! If it will help her feel better and make things a little easier around here, then it's totally worth it! I just hope it does work because I really don't want to switch her formula again anytime soon. I don't think that's good for babies, either.

While we were there, I had Dr. Catherine check Meyers out, too. She's been snotty and coughing for a week. Everything is fine with her, so she is definitely going to school tomorrow. We are both excited about that:) She LOVES school, and that is my one day a week to completely focus on Emery.

So $50 in copays later, we left and went to Chick-fil-a. We've been through the drive-thru some in the last few days - for a drink or possibly for a milkshake:) We tell Meyers they are cleaning the playground, and we can't go in. Is that bad? It works. I had been telling her I would let her play on the playground soon, so we headed there.
It was early, so there was no one there, which was awesome!

Here are my sweet girls at the doctor. Taking them both by myself was not that bad!
