Some Randomness

***My blogging app won't let you put pictures within a post, so that's why they are all at the bottom.

I have been doing some damage on eBay. Good thing I've sold a bunch, too, so it's not like I'm really "spending" any money:) I have the eBay app on my phone, so when I'm up with Emery I can search stuff on eBay. I got three Kissy Kissy gowns for Emery for super cheap. I've also gotten her some trunk show brand things for the fall that match things I already have for Meyers. Being able to sew means I can find great deals for either Meyers or Emery, and then I can sew something that matches for the other one. I actually started bidding on things in the hospital when we knew Emery was a girl. Is that weird? Most people know what they are having and have 4+ months to shop. I was just making up for that:) It's been so fun getting packages in the mail. Who doesn't love that? I have this cleaning process when I buy things on eBay or consignment. As soon as I open the package, I fill a Rubbermaid tub with cold water and oxiclean. Then I let it sit there for at least a few days. That way, it gets any possible stains out and it
makes them feel new to me. I love oxiclean! I think it's one of the best inventions! On another note, I am loving the smell of Dreft again. We haven't used it in forever with Meyers. Emery's clothes smell so yummy!

Emery has also been receiving packages in the mail and on our doorstep:) One of them was this lovey below. How cute is this???? And with her name on the little back pocket.....precious!

We had Emery's hand and foot impressions made this week. She hated it as much as Meyers did:). I had Meyers from when she was a newborn redone because I don't like the color I had them made in. I was so glad that that was possible, but it made me sick to pay for something we already have. At least now, they will both be neutral and can hang anywhere in the house. I can't wait to get them back and hang them. It was so crazy to see the difference in their hands and feet. Emery's fingers are a lot longer than Meyers, and her foot was a little bigger, too.

And I don't have a picture for this, but we think Emery may have colic. We are totally self diagnosing, but about every other night for the last week, she has started screaming around the same time each night it happens. She is inconsolable for on average 3-4 hours. It's so pitiful. We try every trick in the book to soothe her and sometimes we can calm her and get her to sleep. Last night, not so much. She screamed from 9:30 pm until 2:00 am. I finally got her to sleep in my arms then. I think it was because she was plain worn out. This is totally new territory for us. Meyers was not like this. I keep having to remind myself that even if this is colic, it won't last forever. It just breaks my heart to hear and see her screaming and not be able to fix it.

  1. I just found your blog from threedoodles. We have a newborn too and he is extremely fussy! Complete opposite from his 2 1/2 year old sister. I feel your frustration! Hang in there!
