This is us after church on Sunday. I am so glad we took Easter pictures before Easter because you can tell Meyers wasn't super happy. She might have been in a bad mood because she had a wardrobe malfunction in the nursery at church. I used hem tape to hem her dress. Apparently I didn't do it very well. When I picked her up from the nursery, the back half of her dress was hanging down and the hem tape was dragging the ground. I would have been in a bad mood, too:) **Note to self: ALWAYS have Mimi hem dresses properly in the future!!**

What the Easter bunny brought...
Checking everything out...
She loved this magna doodle toy, but it doesn't even erase!! She doesn't realize it's supposed to erase, so she didn't care.
We ate lunch at John's parents'. Gran and Pop gave Meyers a little purse with some "bunny money" in it.
Gran and Meyers reading.
Opening birthday and Easter presents from Aunt Christi, Uncle Darren, and Tanner
We ate dinner at my parents'. The grandkids had a little Easter egg hunt. This was Meyers's 3rd hunt this year, so she's getting pretty good at it:) Meyers collected the most eggs in her age division:), so she won a ball and flashcards.
These cuties each collected the most eggs in their age division, and they won some prizes, too. My mom and dad started this "age division" thing a while back when my nieces and nephews were younger. It's really funny because we come back in after hunting, and they count their eggs. Then my mom and dad announce the winners in each age division. They haven't quite caught on yet that they are the only ones in their age division:)

hey, i wanted to tell you we have those egg magna doodles, too. we figured out you use the other end of the "pencil" to erase it. it has a flat area that you rub around on the back side of the magna doodle. it is ridiculous because no age appropriate child can correctly do it, but like you said, it works just fine as long as they don't know any better. you can still find the rectangle shaped ones with the slide-y thing, but it is more difficult.
ReplyDeleteps-i love the way meyers is meticulously removing the egg from the grass!
Hey, check this link out to help you out with that "blank stare". I thought these were pretty cute....
