Two Years Old

What You Are Up To at 2:

• you weigh 26 1/2 lbs - 50th%.
• forgot to ask your height at the doctor, but you are in the 5th% :)
  
• you wear a size 5.5 shoe.
• you wear size 5 diapers.
• you still love your "binky" so much, but you are only allowed to have it in the bed, in the car and in extreme circumstances of meltdowns:) (i don't hate that you still have your binky. i might regret saying this if I can't pry it away from you in the next year or so, but it still keeps you my baby just a little bit longer).
• you are a very picky eater, but here are some things you love to eat: fries, quesadillas, apples, goldfish, yogurt, applesauce, pringles, freeze dried fruits
  
• you only drink milk, water, and tea from our cups (very occasionally). for some reason, you don't realize we have tea unless it's in a fast food cup. and you call tea "wa-wa". it's kind of cute:)
• you ask for a bow as soon as we walk in your room in the morning. love this!!!
• you love bath time.
• you sat on the potty for the first time yesterday. you loved it...nothing came out, but you loved being up there like a "big girl"
• you know all the letters of the alphabet (f and j sometimes throw you) and can say the sounds for a good amount of them.
• you can count to five with us.
• you know all 8 colors....but only in crayon form and it's not always super consistent
• you LOVE to read. i am so thankful for this and hope you always enjoy reading.
• you especially love Karen Katz "Lift the Flap" books
  
• you have always called us mama and dada, but just recently you started calling us mommy and daddy. the sound of your voice saying this fills up my heart!!! it sounds so cute!!
• you still love your flashcards.
• you love, love, love your babies!
• you are walking around like a big girl now. you are still a little wobbly sometimes, but your confidence is growing each day.
• you LOVE going "bye-bye" in the car.
• you are putting two words together more and more everyday.
• you love to play with my keys and wallet (wa-wa).
• you still love being rocked to sleep at night.
• you take one afternoon nap anywhere from 1 - 2.5 hours usually.
• you love to swing at the park.
• you love to ride in your wagon.
• you have to go to time out occasionally and you sit there for the whole 30 seconds (usually). impressive!
  
• you love your inhaler you have to do twice a day and you love to clean up and put all the parts back in the bag.
• you love climbing the stairs.
• you love closing doors and being a helper.
  
• you love for us to sing "Wheels on the Bus", "If You're Happy and You Know It", and "Zacheus"
• your vocabulary grows more and more each day. I wish I could list them all, but that would take forever!
• you love going to the nursery at church and MOPS now. you used to cry, and it made me so sad to leave you. now...you walk in like a big girl. that makes me so happy.
